WATCH | Multi-vehicle collision claims a life and leaves two critically injured

A multi-vehicle accident on the R40 near Riverside Mall left one man killed and two others critically injured today. 

According to Arrive Alive, a towing truck and light motor vehicle collided head-on.

“ER24 paramedics came across the incident, finding the vehicles in the middle of the road. One man was found lying outside the vehicle, while two were inside,” read the statement. 

The medics assessed the men and found that one had succumbed to his injuries while two others were in a critical condition.

They treated the patients and provided them with advanced life support interventions. The men were transported to Rob Ferreira Hospital for further care.

The driver of the truck, fortunately, escaped injury. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
