Driver turns himself in after running over man

A scuffle that broke out between two men in Kwaggafontein left one dead on Wednesday.

According to police, Jack Musa Mthimunye (the accused) was transporting a group of people. He then the stopped the vehicle and when one of them fell off, Mthimunye allegedly ran over him and drove off.

“When medical personnel arrived at the scene, the man was certified dead. The accused was later arrested after he handed himself in to the local police station. His case was postponed to March 11 in the Mkobolo Magistrate’s Court where he is expected to make a formal bail application,” said Brigadier Leonard Hlathi.
